PRESENTATION
The H2X composite department brings together workers specialized in stratification and engineers who are masters of the art of material blending. This department is fully operational and is constantly looking for improved processes.
The specificity of this department lies in its perfect command of « one-shot » infusion. This method permits:
- A fiber/resin ratio which is optimum,
- The production of high resistance materials,
- One-shot infusion and therefore time saving,
- Improvement of work conditions.
The composite department works closely with the digital machining department.
In 2008, during the construction of the Nahema 120, H2X was among the first in the world to build a 35m hull through epoxy resin vacuum infusion. The ongoing construction of the Blue Coast 95 will confirm the ranking of the shipyard among the world leaders.
H2X’S STRONG CHARACTERISTICS
- The capacity to use all types of fiber (glass, carbon, aramide),
- The perfect command of the « one-shot » vacuum infusion process (epoxy, large pieces),
- A 50m length composite clean room,
- The will to give priority to biomaterials.
